Team History

They had some success before reaching the FBS level in 1975, including 9 conference championships. But in their first 40 years at the level they had only reached a bowl game once. Under Chris Creighton they have found some sustained success, making 6 bowl games in 11 seasons. He'll be back for year 12 this season looking to keep it up.
