Team History
The 1998 FCS champions eventually moved back up to FBS football in 2012, and boy has it been tough sledding. In the years since two 4-8 seasons are the best they've been able to pull off. In 2025 they'll be breaking in a new coach and moving back to the MAC. Definitely worth shaking things up.

Would have to be the 1998 FCS national championship, they have done nothing at the FBS level to constitute a peak.
Rock Bottom
From 2019-2022 they had as many losses to FCS teams as wins against FBS teams, 3. Their defense was dead last in scoring for two of those seasons.
Best Ever Player
Marcel Shipp (RB, 1998-2000): Three time first team all conference. The bellcow on the championship team, he ran for 244 yards and 3 TD's in the national championship.
Best Ever Coach
Mark Whipple (1998-2003 & 2014-2018): The coach of their FCS national championship team. His return wasn't as good, but he still has the 4 best seasons since their return to FBS.
