A team with an all time win percentage below .400 doesn't have many bright spots. Randall Cunningham led them to an 11 win season in the 80's and Barry Odom appears to have just found some magic these past few seasons. Now Dan Mullen has come out of retirement to take a swing at things, one of the innovators of the spread offense with Urban Meyer.

Best Ever Player
Randall Cunningham (QB/P, 1981–1984): Quarterback of the 11-2 season, led the conference in passing touchdowns twice. Also was a 2 time first team All American punter. He averaged 45.6 yards per punt which would rank him in the top 20 all time.
Best Ever Coach
Tony Knap (1976-1981): The winningest coach in school history, led them in their transition to FBS. UNLV later inducted him to their hall of fame.
