Team History

They originally had a team from 1930-1940 that shut down, and then they started back up in 2007. In 2014 they made the jump to the FBS in CUSA, and for the past 3 years they've been in the Sun Belt. They are on their second coach since returning, and Ricky Rahne will be starting year 6 coming off a 5 win season hoping for some improvement.

Quick Facts

Peak of Program

In 2016 they won 10 games (4 more than any other year in the programs FBS history) and captured their only bowl win. David Washington led them at QB throwing for 31 touchdowns and only 5 picks that season.

Rock Bottom

The program folding for 70 years takes the cake here, its doubtful anyone has seen a game from the original team and the new one.

Best Ever Player

Jason Henderson (LB, 2021–2023): led FBS in tackles in 2022 and was a second team All American. In 2023 he was a first team All American. He redshirted in 2024 and will be back in 2025.

Best Ever Coach

Bobby Wilder (2007–2019): rebuilt program from scratch, led to FCS playoffs, FBS move, and first bowl win.
