One of the more storied programs of the Sun Belt, and G5 football in general. They have appeared in the AP poll across 11 different seasons, have played in 25 bowl games, and have won 5 conference championships in the last 30 years. Next year will be the first season of the Charles Huff era, who is coming over after winning Sun Belt at Marshall last season.

Best Ever Player
Brett Favre (QB, 1987-1990): He threw for 7,700 yards and 54 touchdowns, with the team since retiring his jersey. With him at QB they pulled off wins vs #6 FSU, #13 Alabama, and #15 Auburn.
Best Ever Coach
Jeff Bower (1990–2007): The all-time wins leader, the peak of this program was basically just his tenure.
