Team History
One of the premier MAC programs, they have 6 MAC championships since the start of the 90's. Nobody hires coaches better than these guys. 4 of the previous 5 hires before the current coach did so well they moved on to power 5 jobs. And its a wonder nobody has come knocking for the current guy as he has won more games here than all of them. They haven't hired a coach that finished with a losing record at Toledo since 1977.

Quick Facts
Peak of Program
From 1969-1971 Toledo finished a 3 year run going 35-0. They outscored opponents by an average score of 29-8 over these 3 seasons. They also finished top 14 in the AP poll twice.
Rock Bottom
After Jack Murphy inherited the last year of that peak, he quickly set them on a path to 4 losing season in a row. But it wasn't much of a bottom compared to their MAC contemporaries.
Best Ever Player
Chuck Ealey (QB, 1969-1971): The QB during the 35 game win streak. 3 time MAC offensive player of the year and a 1971 first team All American. Member of the college football hall of fame.
Best Ever Coach
Jason Candle (2015-present): Clearly a lot of options here, but I'm going with the guy who has spent 10 years at a MAC school in the modern era and has never had a losing record.
